Drama Club Dubbo's Saturday production of Peter Pan at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre featured, for the first time, parents of cast members.

The cast of more than 120 kids and young adults collaborated with about 20 cast members' parents for the "magical" show.
Club Director Jo Gibbs said she was "so, proud of the kids, and their parents."

"I just really wanted to involve the families for this production. It was a novelty, a one-off thing," she said.
"It was a fantastic day. Both of our shows, one at 1 pm and one at 5 pm, were near sell-outs.
"We're really happy with the fantastic backing we received from our community.

"We also had great feedback.
"I think part of the reason is because of how magical Peter Pan is.
"We had Peter Pan flying and windows opening on their own.
"Even after the show had finished people wanted to stay.
"The kids wanted to get their photos taken with the pirates."
