And rightly so.
The Eels legend and someone so often the butt of jokes for never having won an NRL premiership got his hands on some silverware as Parramatta downed the Canterbury Bulldogs in the final of the Legends tournament.
But the victory was also a special one for Dennis Moran.
Moran has become a bush footy legend since his time in the top flight, where he played for the Eels before an eight-year stint in the English Super League.
But he was back in the blue and gold on Saturday, helping defeat a Bulldogs side which had won the first two editions of the Legends of League tournament.
The grand final was a classic encounter between the two fierce rivals but the Eels came out on top, scoring a 8-6 win.

The title win goes with the Group 11 premiership Moran won with the Wellington Cowboys in 2019.
The Broncos, Panthers, Knights, and a mixed Barbarians side also played at the Legends of League.
The event is also about raising funds for a worthy cause, with the Mark Hughes Foundation having been the charity partner since 2018.
The foundation raises money for brain cancer research and will only take a portion of the gate takings this year, as Hughes told NRL.com he was also eager to donate to bushfire appeals.
