The facility, that is near completion, features a 400m velodrome track that will come complete with a warmup/cool down track in the centre.
There is a 1-kilometre criterium track as part of the complex that will be used by road bikes for criterium racing.
The criterium track will form part of Dubbo's sporting and lifestyle infrastructure.
It will be particularly attractive to junior and newer riders, able to race, train, and gain confidence at the purpose-built facility.
The facility is provided with canteen, kitchen and clubhouse facilities.
The track has lighting, ensuring the exciting evening track cycling on show in Dubbo, continues into the future.
The new facility will secure the ability of Dubbo Cycle Club to host the NSW Junior Cycling Championships.
The Club has hosted these titles is recent years and many cycling families from across the State look forward to visiting Dubbo to compete.
There is also a strong push for the purpose built criterium track to host a round of the NSW Shimano Criterium series which will bring international level riders to Dubbo to compete, allowing the city to showcase its ability to host such events.
The new facility is on track to be completed in early December. Local Racing was cancelled on Tuesday night due to the dust and wind.
This would have been the last opportunity for many of the clubs riders to hone their racing skills ahead of this weekends Clarence St Cup in Sydney.
The Clarence St Cup is NSW Premier track event and Dubbo is sending a very strong contingent of riders to compete.
The weekend will also feature the NSW Maddison Championships and the NSW Omnium championships. Local racing will resume on Tuesday night at 6:30pm.
