Dubbo Regional Council chief executive officer Michael McMahon has advised of a "two-week grace period".

More than 300 businesses in the Dubbo region were asked to prepare WSAPs when level three water restrictions were introduced on October 1.
The WSAPs were to be implemented from the start of level four water restrictions on Friday. Businesses needing to develop WSAPs include caravan parks, car and truck wash facilities, veterinary surgeries, aged care accommodation providers and commercial cleaners.

WSAPs need to be approved by the council before they are put into action.
On Thursday Mr McMahon told of WSAPs rolling in.
"Council has received a significant number of WSAPs and is continuing to work with the community and businesses in developing their plans," he said.

"Council understands that the WSAPs can be time-consuming, which is why we are having a two-week grace period."
