Three students from the Macquarie Conservatorium Dubbo will take part in an exciting orchestral concert in Tamworth on Sunday. The young musicians, Jessica Hall (trombone) Emma Newby (viola) and Simon Ramirez (bass trombone) will join 27 other students from across the state for the performance. The event is hosted by Tamworth Regional Conservatorium and will be held at the War Memorial Town Hall at 11 am. The young musicians, Jessica Hall (trombone) Emma Newby (viola) and Simon Ramirez (bass trombone) will join 27 other students from across the state for the performance.
Emma is a veteran Regional Youth Orchestra NSW (RYO) player who has performed with the RYO at the Sydney Opera House, but for both Jessica and Simon, this will be their first time playing with this orchestra.
The students selected for this opportunity range in age from 11 to 20 years.
All of the selected students are members of the RYO which is an auditioned orchestra of talented young musicians established in 2016 by the Association of NSW Regional Conservatoriums.
