In the Dubbo District Court Matthew Lumber was convicted of multiple offences including aggravated break and enter, using a carriage service to harass, acting to influence a witness, breaching an apprehended domestic violence order (ADVO) five times and intentionally distributing intimate images without consent.
The 33-year-old entered guilty pleas and Judge Gordon Lerve sentenced Lumber on October 25.
Lumber's sentence included a non-parole period of three years and two months. He will be eligible for parole in May 2022.
According to a statement of agreed facts presented in court, Lumber's crimes centred around a woman in Cobar.
In October last year, he removed an air conditioner unit from the woman's window and climbed into her locked house while she was asleep.
After the break and enter offence was committed, Lumber left the woman's house and sent her a series of rambling and threatening emails.
They included statements such as "I just wanted a cuddle" and "answer me cause I will fumin [sic] kill u right now".
According to the statement of agreed facts, the break and enter happened while the woman had an ADVO out against Lumber.
A few days before he broke into the woman's house Lumber also used Facebook to send naked images of her to another woman.
While he was remanded in custody, Lumber called two of his friends and encouraged them to visit the woman and influence her not to give evidence against him in court.
