A CRASH between a truck and a car which killed one person on the Barrier Highway is now under police investigation.

About 12.30am on Thursday, a sedan travelling west on the Barrier Highway, about 100 kilometres from Broken Hill, collided head-on with an eastbound B-double.
The driver of the sedan, who is yet to be identified, suffered fatal injuries.
The driver of the truck suffered head injuries and was taken to Broken Hill Base Hospital for treatment and mandatory testing.
Inquiries continue by officers from Barrier Police District and a report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
