"As a measure of our growth and to give an insight into how we have had to adapt, LSR was repairing 230 vehicles per year in 2009, ten years on LSR is well on its way to repairing 4000 cars per year," he said.
LSR is solving the inconvenience and concerns that customers experience when their car is involved in a collision by repairing their car in a timely manner and giving peace of mind regarding quality, performance and safety of the repairs.
"We also assist where we can during the time that customers are without their car while it is being repaired.
"There are a lot of moving pieces in the repair process and we are proud of our team who co-ordinate all this," he said.
"Sometimes things don't go to plan, however we do our best to remove as much uncertainty as possible from the process."
Now, 10 years since taking over LSR Mudgee Simon said he has learned to adapt, learn from setbacks and grow the business in an environment where the change in the industry is dramatic.
"Through this change I have found enormous inspiration from those around me, and a team that is wholly dedicated to making LSR better and better.
"So this win gives all of us here at LSR an opportunity to sit back and recognise how far we have come and take a pause to appreciate what we have achieved together.

"It's a proud moment for all of us from which we can draw inspiration and energy."
Never taking up formal training in business, Simon said his secret to success lies in continuously developing his skills.
"The business and the culture is also consistent with this philosophy as we seek continuous improvement," he said.
"I hope to set an example by living it through my own behaviour, and to I actively foster it in the business." Simon said LSR has trained eight apprentices from the local community since 2009.
"Our apprentice program has been successful in that our Head of Operations for Mudgee and Dubbo worked his way up from detailer, to qualify as a panel beater, to chief estimator and branch manager all within seven years.
"I believe that a big part of leadership is about how well one develops others and equips others to succeed and this is something that I significantly emphasis at LSR."
