Children's Week Celebrations are held on the fourth Wednesday in October in conjunction with Universal Children's Day.
National Children's Week runs from October 19 to October 27 and is a celebration of children's rights, talents and citizenship, with a selected theme chosen for each annual event.
This year's theme is 'Children have the right to be healthy, safe and happy.'
Dubbo Children's Committee is made up of various local services that have linked together to ensure they can "support the children within their community as best as they can", including event leaders Uniting.
Dubbo Uniting's Kylie-Anne Kennedy said the day provides children with an opportunity to participate in fun outdoor activities whilst also having information for parents to know what help is available for them to ensure their child's health and safety.
"There will be a jumping castle, a petting zoo and puppet show, face painting, a reading corner, Zumba as well as other music and dances, lucky door prizes and the police will be there too," Ms Kennedy said.
"It will be a safe and happy environment for children zero to 12-years-old to come and have some fun whilst also bonding with their families.
"Parents will be able to come and have a chat with some of the available service providers who will be there."
Ms Kennedy said there would be both educational and sensory activities for children on the day.
"It's good just to get the kids outside and away from technology for a couple of hours."
Everyone is welcome to attend, with free admission into the event and a free morning tea provided.
