Dubbo's Ryan and Forbes-based Mason-Spice are both part of the University of Canberra side which sits fourth heading into the final round of the Rugby Australia's University Sevens Series.
The final round will be contested at Canberra, with the hosts still chasing a breakthrough gold medal playoff appearance.
The third round of the series was played out earlier this month in Adelaide and there Canberra finished in fourth spot.
They missed out on the bronze after being beaten 17-14 by Griffith University.

This weekend marks what has been a bumper sevens campaign for Ryan and Mason-Spice.
The Forbes Platypi star has made great strides in the sevens game and has been among Canberra's best this season while Ryan has mainly used the competition as another chance to learn.
The multi-code star was a relative newcomer to the format when the campaign began but has created a number of highlights of her own for the capital outfit.
The action at Canberra will be played out on both Saturday and Sunday this coming weekend.
Canberra starts its weekend against University of Adelaide from 9am on Saturday before clashes with the University of Melbourne and the University of Western Australia later in the day.
The Canberra side can't win the overall title but is still a chance of a top three finish.
