Several local businesses received recognition at the 2019 Rhino Awards held on Friday night across an array of categories, but one business with recurring success on the night was Dubbo's Fitness Focus.

Fitness Focus took home the major award, the 'Regional Australia Bank Dubbo Chamber of Commerce Gold Rhino Award', and also landed awards across four other categories.
Fitness Focus' "super proud" business owners, Andrew and Rachel Bassett, said their success was thanks to the support of a hard-working and passionate team and loyal clientele.
"It's exciting news to have received the Gold Rhino award, we're very proud," Andrew said.
"I want to acknowledge all of the business owners that attended the night because as business owners we have to take all of the risks and at times risks look interesting, and it's always around the journey.
"The journey Fitness Focus has been on over the past six years has been transformational, and it's been transformational because of my team, because of the business values that we hold, but also, it comes down to what our mission is as a business, our mission is to impact the community as a fun and happy place, no judgement, all love.
"I also want to thank all of those among our community that has always believed in us and to those out of out 3,500 members who attended the event to support us, they're our family, and it means so much to not only myself but my wife, my managers and my team."
Dubbo Chamber of Commerce president Matt Wright announced Fitness Focus at the Gold Rhino winners, following their four previous award announcements including the Silver Rhinos for the Employer Of Choice, Excellence in Sustainability, Excellence in Work, Health and Safety and Excellence in Small Business.
"The winner of the night's major award, the Gold Rhino Award, was selected by an independent panel of judges.
"Fitness Focus received the awards for the impact they have made to and in the Dubbo business scene," Mr Wright said.
"The way they set business goals and hold themselves to account, and work tirelessly to pursue best practice to ensure the best experience for their customers, are examples to us all.
"They take all feedback from their customers and make changes accordingly. They also look for ways to differentiate themselves in an incredibly competitive industry."
