Police, fire and ambulance crews received the triple-0 call at 8.30pm on Thursday following reports of a fire in a caravan in a shed.
"Two male occupants attacked the fire with a garden hose before firefighters arrived," Fire and Rescue NSW Station Officer Chris Cusack said.
"The men were treated by ambulance staff for smoke inhalation."
Station Officer Cusack said the men were alerted to the fire when smoke started coming from the rear of the caravan.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but it is believed to been an electrical fault.
"The way they [the batteries] are made to store energy, if something goes wrong that energy is released as heat," Station Officer Cusack said.
"With anything electrical, turn it off at the power point if you're not there or not using it."
The fire was contained to the battery compartment of the caravan.
