Feral Franky missed out on a berth in the final of greyhound racing's Million Dollar Chase,
Dubbed Australia's favourite greyhound, both for his quirky name and come-from-behind race style, "the Feral" was a cult favourite for the main event.
The Forbes-trained dog broke the Gunnedah track record in qualifying for the metropolitan semi-final, wowing spectators in the regional final.
Victorian Curt Lee was the victor in Feral Franky's heat, leading from the first turn and holding off all challengers to win in 30.14s.
Feral Franky tumbled on the first turn in his heat, but thankfully pulled up ok.
