Mrs Cook said her women's fiction novels are set in places the audience would want to escape to, calling the Central West; "a beautiful setting."
Cross My Heart follows the journey of main character Tessa De Santis who is bound to honour a promise to become a foster-mother to ten-year-old Grace after her mother, childhood friend Skye Whittaker, dies in tragic circumstances.
The incident leads Tessa to an isolated property in the NSW Central West.
Cross My Heart takes the reader on a haunting journey of guilt, redemption and friendship.
"Like my other books, Cross My Heart focuses on a woman at a major turning point in her life and is set in a beautiful rural location," Mrs Cook said.
An exclusive interview with Mrs Cook will feature in this Saturday's edition of the Daily Liberal, October 19.
