It comes after airline Regional Express (Rex) hosted business leaders and community members at a forum to put its case for how the city could have lower airfares.
A clash between the company and the council about a tax increasing at the airport has intensified in recent days.
Mr Wright said the chamber had heard Rex's position, and wanted to hear from the council.
"...so that we can, maybe not necessarily take stand on it one way or another, but certainly if there's an opportunity for chamber to sit in the middle and find some common ground for both parties, then that's where we're headed at the moment," Mr Wright said.
Rex has put an offer of a $119 "community fare" between Dubbo and Sydney on the table, if the council was to cap increases in the passenger tax to the CPI, and scrap the cost of security screening Rex aircraft, not required by federal legislation.
Mr Wright said the chamber would love to see lower airfares, and more cost-effective ways for people to commute from Dubbo to Sydney.
"[Particularly] in the current environment where we'd love to see especially more tourist dollar hitting the city," Mr Wright said.
"If lower airfares meant more people were going to come here and spend money in the city, obviously we'd be all for that, but then again, it's finding that middle ground for both parties to hopefully come to an agreement on."
