Snap Fitness Dubbo and other Snap Fitness clubs across Australia are holding open week from Monday, October 7, to Saturday, October 11, in conjunction with Mental Health Week.
The drive will see clubs open their doors to the public to train, free of cost.
Snap Fitness Partnerships Manager Stefanie Nicholson said they're passionate about supporting Mental Health Week, Mental Health Month and mental health in general.
"With ten years of history, we're well aware of what a positive impact regular exercise has on people, and we want to bring that feeling to as many people in the local communities as possible while also starting a conversation about mental health," said Ms Nicholson.
Snap Fitness Dubbo is also running an array of fundraising activities for the Mental Awareness Foundation throughout October, which is Mental Health Month.
The Mental Awareness Foundation aim is to support charities that are working directly with communities who are implementing strategies to raise awareness of depression and mental illness while supporting the preservation of life.
The Mental Awareness Foundation is about delivering a fun, exciting, informative, exhilarating experiences within communities.
The events allow Snap Fitness to support charities raising awareness for Depression and Mental Illness also to be accepted and recognised.
Snap Fitness encourages people with any experience and fitness level to find out more about the benefits of exercise for themselves.
Snap Fitness Dubbo kicked off its mental health awareness activities in late September with a Mental health walk along the banks of the Macquarie River, organised by Snap Fitness Dubbo manager Mark Hodges.
The walk took place on Sunday, September 29, at 7.45 am, with participants gathering at the Sandy Beach carpark.
The casual walk to raise awareness for Mental Health was open to anyone who wanted to join.
The event kicked off one of many mental health movements set to take place over the next month.
