The Dubbo Touch Association showed its class on the big stage again last weekend, where the women's 30s team took out their division at the Hunter Western Hornets Championships.

The Dubbo women's 30s side had a strong start in the weekend's competition in Maitland with four comprehensive wins on day one.
That earned them a spot in the semi-finals against Newcastle.
While on paper that appeared a challenge the Dubbo side continued its strong performances on day two, dominating the semi-final contest on the way to downing Newcastle 9-2.
That victory set-up a grand final clash against Maitland.
The grand final lived up to the hype, being a hard-fought game where both sides created opportunities.
But it was the Dubbo side which did the better at taking them on the way to running out 5-3 victors.
"It was a really super effort from all of the girls over the weekend," captain-coach Tracey Whillock said.
"We have only had four trainings leading into the tournament, so was great to come away with such a great result.
"Four team members hadn't played representative touch for Dubbo before and they all played really well and go away with great memories of their first tournament."
The victory in the decider was particularly pleasing given the fast start Maitland made.

"The grand final was a tough game and coming back from being 3-1 down to winning 5-3 was an amazing team effort," Whillock added.
"It was really good to see everyone dig deep and stick to our structure to get the job done."
Capping off the victory in the decider was the awarding of the player of the grand final to Dubbo's Shelley Darcy.
The Dubbo Touch Men's 30s team also attended the tournament.
That side impressed when making it through to the semi-finals but that was where its campaign ended.
The Newcastle City Knights won that division.
The Newcastle City Knights also won the club championship for their efforts across all grades.
The women's 30s side will now focus its attention on NSW State Cup that will take place at Port Macquarie in December of this year.
"We will now turn our focus to training for State Cup and concentrating on the areas we need to improve on before meeting some of the best teams in the state," Whillock said.
