Mr Baker, alongside former Dubbo resident Jonny Hibbard and their cameraman Gimli are back for season two of Aussie Dreamlivers.
Mr Baker said the southern state was chosen as their location because "Texas is sort of outrageous".
"The whole premise of the show is 'go big or go home' so we're looking at massive food challenges and things like that. We've been connected with this local group of people who have built their own monster trucks out of normal cars, so I'm looking forward to filming that segment," Mr Baker said.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
Despite having to coordinate with families, jobs and other commitments in Australia, Mr Baker said he had an instant 'yes' from both his co-stars when he asked if they were interested in filming a second season.
"When we made the first one we didn't even really know how to use a camera let alone how to edit a TV show. Now we have a better understanding so I think it will be a lot better experience for the viewers this time around," he said.
Mr Baker said filming would start in Texas on Thursday and once they get back he would begin editing the show for it to go to air in December. Season two of Aussie Dreamlivers will screen on 7Mate.
