Families visiting the Dubbo region for the school holidays will be able to get into four major attractions with one ticket and achieve cost savings of about 20 per cent from 9am on Monday when the Great Big Adventure Pass goes on sale for the first time.

It means tourists will be able to access the Taronga Western Plains Zoo, Old Dubbo Gaol, Wellington Caves and Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Visitor Experience with one ticket.

Dubbo Regional Council's regional experiences manager Jamie Angus said the ticket was unique to the Dubbo region because it offered access to attractions owned by different organisations.
"A lot of the time these types of tickets are done by one particular company, so one company will own four attractions," he said.

Mr Angus said the ticket aims to attract more tourists and get them to stay longer.
The drought was having an effect on tourism but the quality of the experiences offered in our region put us in good stead, he said.
"I'd like to think that we are more than pulling our weight in the tourism industry to help support the economy during a time when some of the other economic contributors to this region are struggling because of the drought," Mr Angus said.
