The Gowrie Early Education Centre in Dubbo has received $8550, which will be used to buy shade sails to protect kids from the sun.
Centre manager Gemma Lavelle said the grant funding and shade sails would give kids the opportunity to spend more time outdoors.
She said the money would also help her organisation cater to the needs of a growing number of youngsters.
"We've recently extended our enrolments by 20 places and doubled our workforce since opening in 2017," Ms Lavelle advised.
State Member for Dubbo Dugald Saunders visited the Gowrie centre to announce the grant on Monday.
"I am thrilled that the littlest learners in our region will benefit from this funding now and for years to come," he said.
