The Philosothon is the only primary school event of its kind in a regional area.
It aims to give school students an opportunity to investigate philosophical issues while focusing on critical and creative thinking. Student challenges will include: reasoning, identifying perspectives, seeking other options, forming criteria, asking questions and building up ideas.

Students will examine art, think in collaborative groups and participate in role play.
"We are dedicated to continuing to offer high level national events locally to continue to enrich and challenge our young bring thinkers in the region," Academy principal Mandi Randall said.
