Bathurst
Ever wanted to direct your very own animated clip, well now is your chance. Toonworld are in town on September 30 or why attend the Steampunk Workshop on October 2. Both events are at Bathurst Library, call 6333 6281.
Head to Bathurst PCYC for a cartoon workshop, ninja games, circus skills session, gymnastics, tenpin bowing, laser tag or a tour of the city's new ambulance station. Call 6331 2191 to find out more.
On at BMEC on October 3 and 4 is the highly-skilled acrobatic quartet Tetris.
Get creative with workshops on weaving, clay mosaic or print your own portrait - it's all on at Bathurst Regional Art Gallery.
Blayney
Get active with ball sports, a ninja warrior session and an obstacle course; or dance the time away at a disco. It's all on at CentrePoint Sport and Leisure Centre, call 6368 2544.
Cootamundra
Spot a croc, take in a performance by the Allegro Youth Ballet Company, join a fun science session, make a kite or attend a kids writing workshop - all at Cootamundra Library. Call 6940 2200 for more information.
Cowra
Cowra Council and Transport NSW will host a special morning for cycling enthusiasts at Europa Park on Saturday, September 28, with two free workshops on offer to learn new skills in bike maintenance and riding in a group.
The School Holiday Golf Clinic will be on Friday, October 11 from 10am - 2pm at Cowra Golf Club. To book contact Tom in the proshop on 6342 1211 or email. tperfect@pgamember.org.au. Cost is $35 per junior which includes lunch.
Learn to make macrame, attend a floristry workshop, take a boxing class. Get creative with design and technology classes on: sewing, stitching, video or spinning wool. It's all on at Cowra PCYC.
Dubbo
Taronga Western Plains Zoo is taking bookings for its Zoo Adventures school holiday program which takes kids behind-the-scenes in a fun and educational environment. Children participate in a range of activities and games, and learn about and meet some of the animals that call the zoo home.
Go behind bars at the Old Dubbo Gaol and join in a guided escapes tour, a twilight family night tour or a beyond the grave tour.
Get active with gymnastics, dance or hall sports at Dubbo PCYC. Attend a free learn to play paintball clinic at Dubbo Action Sports on September 28 for 12-18 year olds. Kids bingo is on October 1 and 8 at Dubbo RSL.
Forbes
Bogan Gate Village Fair and the Wirrinya Family Picnic Day are on Sunday, September 29.
The PCYC will bring its Fun for Kids activities to the Forbes Youth and Community Centre on Friday, October 4. Activities will kick off at midday with sports, activities, a barbecue and then a dance party.
Check out some of the hottest cars in town at the 10th annual Forbes Motor Show on Sunday, October 6. It's at Grinstead Oval from 10am-2pm. Entry is $2 adults, $1 children
Grenfell
See the work of some of our region's most amazing green thumbs at the Grenfell Garden Club Open Garden Weekend on October 12-13.
Join in the Grenfell Family Fun Day on Tuesday, October 1 at Vaughn Park. Check out our talented locals at the Grenfell's Got Talent event or the Iandra Casle open day on Sunday, October 6.
Harden
Come and soar at the Harden Kite Festival on Saturday, October 12. Admire the colour kite displays, check out the free entertainment, attend a kite making workshop. There will also be food, drink and market stalls. Entry by gold coin donation.
Lithgow
Join in an excursion to visit the Lithgow Adventure Park, Mt Vic Flicks or the National Motor Racing Museum in Bathurst. Or why not learn to cook, play kick ball, make jelly soap or recycled craft. Visit Lithgow PCYC to find out more.
Come and see the movie Detective Pikachu, find out what a reading rock is and then make your own or test your skills at the Lego challenge. It's all on at Lithgow Library.
Mudgee
The wait is finally over, Mudgee Water Park opens to the public this Saturday, September 28 from 11am.
Head to Market and Church streets on Saturday, September 28 to get your taste buds dancing at the Flavours of Mudgee.
Burn off some energy with netball, laser tag, archery, basketball, a mini Olympics or cricket. Join in a scavenger hunt, get ready for Halloween or why not learn to draw! It's all on at Mudgee PCYC.

Narromine
Bucket loads of free events are taking place in Narromine these school holidays including: pop up playgroup, craft activities, music, stories, games and the Trangie Kidz Klub slip 'n slide. Also on is a cultural day and a free screening of the Paper Planes movie.
Or why not take part in a workshop on animation or 3D colouring or learn how to make a book trailer - all activities are $2.05 per child.
Nyngan
During the first week of school holidays PCYC NSW will bring Fun For Kids to Nyngan for all young children to enjoy. This year a team of eight will be attending Nyngan for the second time, and will be hosting a number of sporting activities, a barbecue and dance party.
Oberon
Head into Oberon Library to create your own comic strip adventure, attend a craft session or compete in a Lego challenge. Join in at the skating clinic on Saturday, September 28 at Oberon Skate Park from 10am. For more information call 6329 8220.
Orange
Take part in an animation workshop with artist Arlo Mountford at Orange Regional Gallery.
Have you ever wondered how the fight scenes in film and theatre are choreographed? Do you think you might have what it takes to be a stunt person? Why not take part in a film and stage fighting workshop with Action Reaction Entertainment on Tuesday, October 8 at Orange City Library. Ages 12+.
There's still spots available for escape room. Step back in time and use your keen detective skills to solve the mystery before it's too late. It's on Thursday, October 10.
Head to Orange PCYC and get busy with sports, gymnastics, indigenous games, building blocks, movies and School of Rock.
Parkes
Head to Parkes PCYC and get active with bowling, a scavenger hunt, bike riding. Get creative with jewellery making, pizza making, DIY soap and bath bombs or make your own spring planter.
Parkes Shire Council has launched its school holiday campaign and is encouraging people to 'be out there', explore, and see first-hand what makes the Parkes region all add up as an appealing tourist destination.
Wellington
Burn off some energy when you hit the trails for some nature, scenery, fresh air and beautiful mountain views on Mount Arthur Reserve. Discover the underground at Wellington Caves with the school holiday timetable now out. Check out the PCYC's range of school holiday activities.
Young
Try your hand at some Aboriginal art or robotics. Or get active fun fitness, laser tag, gymnastics, parkour, Little Ninja's Cheerleading or a neon disco party. It's all on at Young PCYC.
