POLICE are calling for information following the theft of an industrial air compressor from the Orana region.

Officers attached to the Orana Mid-Western Police District say the theft occurred between September 2 and 15.
"The compressor was stolen from Cathundril Road at Narromine and is a very distinct piece of equipment," officers said in a statement.

"The serial number is 743F5090AAA and features a towable axle, a hose reel, torsion bar suspension and white Sunriser mags with DSG mud terrain tyres.
"Also stolen with this equipment was 15 metres of air hose and three 20 litre oil drums."
Police have called for anyone with information to contact rural crime investigator Detective Senior Constable Adam MacDougall at Mudgee Police Station on 63728531 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
