The school held a mufti day in support of Operation Christmas Child, a project which provides children overseas, living in poverty, with a shoebox packed with gifts. The students could either bring a gold coin donation or bring a gift to contribute to one of the boxes.
Area coordinator for Operation Christmas Child and Dubbo Christian School staff member Sylvia Paice also organised a cake stall for students and staff to buy from, with the money going to the charity.
"I've hand delivered these boxes to children before, for most of them they've never had a gift before in their life so they're always overwhelmed and really, really grateful," Mrs Paice said.
