The Event Development Fund provides financial assistance of $3001 or more to not-for-profit events held in the Dubbo local government area in 2020. The funding aims to help new events grow and become more sustainable.
Meanwhile, the Major Event Scholarship Program is open to events in the LGA that have the potential to deliver economic benefits to the community.

The Dubbo Cycle Club is among the groups to have benefited from the Major Event Sponsorship Program. The grant was used for the Junior State Titles which welcomed young cyclists from all over the state.
Club president Matthew Gilbert said hosting the event had put Dubbo on the world stage.
"The sponsorship enabled the club to not only out on a great event, but it allowed us to elevate the cultural significance of cycling in Dubbo and at the same time, attract visitors from across NSW and beyond. The event also gave those with a historical link to the club a great opportunity to celebrate Dubbo as the powerhouse of cycling," Mr Gilbert said.
Wellington Arts used the Event Development Fund for a range of events like Fong Lees Lane, the Arts and Sculpture Festival and Music In Between.
Applications for both funds close on October 31 and forms can be found via the council website.
