On Sunday Dubbo Garden Club members hosted a fundraising open day for the Women's Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service (WDVCAS).
"A member suggested we donate to domestic violence and they decided to have a plant sale," Garden Club President Robyn Warn said.
"We thought we'd go a little further and we're very happy with how the day went.
"Members propagated the plans ourselves and we all cooked."
WDVCAS manager Debbie Todkill thanked the group for their work selling plants and tasty treats, raffling off prizes and raising domestic violence awareness.
"This money will help us help women with a range of things things... it could be overnight packs, kids school uniforms, short-term accommodation or even money for new locks," she said.
Anyone interested in joining the Garden Club is welcome to and should call Robyn on 0428 243 815.
