CYMS put together a complete performance in the first half, frustrating the Magpies and building an early lead that had the visitors at Apex Opal struggling to keep pace.
The CYMS girls came into the grand final as the minor premiers after securing a season free from defeats, but Forbes had wrestled back some momentum after downing Parkes to earn a place in the decider.
"We were pretty confident, but you can never go into a grand final cocky," CYMPS skipper Nic Grose said.
Jinnara Tyson opened the scoring up for CYMS in the first half, carving through the Forbes defensive line after CYMS pushed out to the right flank and then switched back left.
It only took two more minutes before Maddison Chapman seized another opportunity, moving the ball through Emily Caton and to Haley Butcherine for another try and setting up an eight point lead.
Even a sudden down-pour provided by the Apex Oval sprinkler system couldn't dampen the CYMS assault and the break in play resumed with Madi Crowe putting through another try for the white and green on the fourteenth minute and Alahna Ryan adding another two points to give the CYMS an unanswered fourteen point lead.
Forbes' Chloe Howarth was able to give CYMS a scare, but was penalised for a slow play of the ball and forced off with an injury moments later.

Grace Gilbert capped off the standard-setting first-half for CYMS, dizzying Forbes with her footwork and slipping across the line to give the hosts a 18 - 0 scorecard at half-time.
"We know how Forbes play, even though there's a few of our girls who had missed the last games against them," Grose said.
"We were really happy to get them, they're a quick, fast team and they've come along great, so I'm really happy to see them in the grand final."
"It's awesome for us to go through undefeated, it's always high pressure on us, but we just played a really calm game of footy and it was good."
Forbes coach Kristy Hartwig knew her team had a mountain to climb in the second half and was able to get them focused again during the half-time break.
"I was very proud of the effort, we were confident coming in, given we're a very strong defensive side and we were focusing on that this week, we knew we were up against it with CYMS, they're a red hot attacking side," Hartwig said.
"I think that first half wasn't our best effort, but we had a really good chat at half-time and we got everyone to lift and that second half, it was one try a piece, so I was very proud of that effort."
CYMS were the first to score in the second half, after a try-saving effort from Skye Crawford and Grace Gilbert denied Forbes early momentum.
Madi Crowe crossed for a double in the final fifteen minutes, sneaking through Forbes' right-flank for a try in the corner, with Ryan's boot adding the extras to make the score 24 - 0.
Forbes were able to secure a consolation try in the game's dying minutes, getting Kimeaka Bermingham across the line in the last two minutes to put points on the board for the visitors before the final whistle was blown.
"My hat's off to CYMS, they were the side to beat and they showed why they're the premiers today," Hartwig said.
"We had three goals at the start of the year after a very strong pre-season, and that was to get into the top three, reach the grand final and win it, getting two out of three of those goals is a result I'm really proud of for the girls."
Grose wasn't satisfied with singling out any individual players for their efforts after a season's best performance from the whole team, but was thrilled to have finished the season undefeated after the team had gone through a lot of changes.
"Everyone did the right thing today," Grose said.
"Ever since CYMS formed the League Tag side, I've been involved and we've kept that same core group, we're a really tight group and I think that helps any footy team."
