A GP, breast surgeon, familial cancer specialist, physiotherapist and dietitian will be among the speakers at a Women's Cancer Risk Management Expo later this month.

McGrath Breast Care nurse Sue Kuter said the event was tailored to women and was about helping them to learn how to reduce their cancer risk.
Mrs Kuter said according to research only five per cent of cancers were hereditary.

"That means the non-inherited causes of cancer - the lifestyle choices we make, the foods we eat, and our physical activity levels - have a direct impact on our overall cancer risk," she said.
The purpose of this event is to try and inform people that there are ways to reduce the risk of getting a preventable cancer.

"Diet, exercise, no smoking, cut your alcohol down, be fit and healthy all help you reduce your risk."
Mrs Kuter said GP Dr Kathryn Fox will discuss ways a GP can help people with screening and health checks, which can identify a health problem at an early stage.
Familial cancer specialist Dr Hilda High will discuss how genetic mutations can affect health and what to do about that knowledge.
Breast surgeon Dr Melinda Van Oosterum will discuss what happens at a Breast Screen and incidental diagnosis of breast cancer.
Dietitian Nicki Weston will discuss how exercise and being a fit person can affect risks of cancer diagnosis.
Counsellor Melissa Romeo specialises in quitting smoking and alcohol and will discuss how those lifestyle choices affect health.
Mrs Kuter will also speak at the event and will discuss how to be breast aware and the lifestyle and risk factors, which can affect a diagnosis of breast cancer.
Although the expo is aimed at women, Mrs Kuter and event MC Dr Lauren Bradbury said there could be an event for men held in the future.
The event will be held in the Coral Sea Room at the Orange Ex-Services' Club between 9am and 1pm on Friday, September 20.
