The Get Ready weekend will be held on September 14 and 15.
Across the two days there will be fun, family events such as firefighting displays and opportunities to get aboard a fire truck and see the specialist equipment. As well as the fun, families can also get information and advice on preparing their properties for bush fire season.
On September 14, the Boothenba RFS volunteers will have an information stand at Bunnings. There will also be an open day at the Eulomogo RFS from 10am until 4pm and Eumungerie RFS from 10am until 2pm.

NSW RFS district coordinator Peter Fotherill said all residents in the Dubbo local government area needed to be prepared for the bush fire season.
"Already this fire season we have seen more than 2700 bush and grass fires across NSW," he said.
"With the vast majority of NSW drought affected, and a forecast of ongoing warm and dry conditions, there is the potential for a long and protracted fire season. NSW RFS members have been busy preparing by undertaking hazard reduction burns, maintaining firefighting equipment and undergoing training."
The district coordinator said Get Ready Weekend was a chance for Dubbo residents to do their bit to plan and prepare for bush fire season.
Volunteer firefighters will be able to talk about the simple things to reduce a bush fire risk.
