The calf was born in the early hours of Sunday, August 18.
Keeper supervisor Pascale Benoit said the calf was 74 kilograms when she was born.
While she required a bit of assistance at first, she was now going from strength to strength.
"There was a bit of trouble when she was born. It was cold and she was a little bit out of sorts. [She had to have] some antibiotics and a little bit of vet intervention," Ms Benoit said.

The calf can be seen on exhibition with Mopani and the other white rhinos, who are giving the protective mum a wide berth while she gets comfortable with the surroundings.
As a female, the calf will be very important for the future of the species. She'll stay in Dubbo and when she is six-years-old she'll start to breed.
Ms Banoit said there was a low number of female white rhinos in the region who were available for breeding.
The calf is yet to be given a name. Taronga Western Plains Zoo will be running a competition for a member of the public to chose a fitting name for the little calf.
