Robert Crockford, 51, of Loganholme in Queensland, pleaded not guilty to 12 charges, including two counts of dangerous driving occasioning death.
The pleas were entered when he was arraigned in the Dubbo District Court on Friday.
Judge Stephen Walmsley set the trial down for March 2, 2020. It is expected to run for three to four weeks at Dubbo.
Mr Crockford faces charges that relate to a multi-vehicle crash at roadworks on the Newell Highway, north of Brocklehurst in January 2018.
The truck Mr Crockford allegedly drove in a dangerous manner crashed into the car Hannah Ferguson, of Gulargambone, and Reagan Skinner were occupants of. They died at the scene.
A number of other people - who were sitting in cars in front of Ms Ferguson and Mr Skinner - were injured.
Many of the charges Mr Crockford faces relate to bodily harm his driving is alleged to have caused those people.
In court Mr Crockford was not accompanied by any supporters.
Prior to the arraignment he applied to change his Supreme Court bail conditions so a $50,000 security payment could be used to fund his legal expenses but Judge Walmsley rejected the application.
