After the man listed the phone for sale online, the woman allegedly went to a house in Rose Garden area of Dubbo to purchase it at about 5.10pm on Wednesday.
After she collected the phone from the man, the woman is alleged to have put it in a car and then punched the man in the face.
A 33-year-old man, who was allegedly driving the car the woman arrived in, got out of the vehicle with a knife and threatened the man.
Police said the pair then returned to the car and drove away.
The vehicle was later located on Macquarie Street with the woman and two men inside, aged 33 and 36.
The woman was charged with robbery and refused bail.
She appeared before Dubbo Local Court on Thursday and did not enter pleas.
Police opposed the granting of bail because the woman was considered a flight risk, had a criminal history and was accused of committing serious crimes.
Magistrate Gary Wilson denied the woman bail and she will next appear in court on October 16.
The 36-year-old male passenger in the car with the woman was charged with possessing a prohibited drug (buprenorphine) and breaching bail.
He pleaded guilty to possessing the drug and is expected to be sentenced in Wellington Local Court in October.
The other 33-year-old man was charged with driving while his licence application was refused and offensive language.
He was granted conditional bail and is due to appear before Dubbo Local Court on October 23.
