More than 100 musical theatre students between the ages of three and 21 are in final rehearsals for Disney's Mulan Jr.
When the curtains go up, the club will bring to the stage the story of how misfit Mulan and her mischievous dragon sidekick in ancient times try to save the Chinese emperor from the Hun army.
Mulan, played by Madi Burden, disguises herself as a boy to serve in the imperial army and comes face to face with the infamous Hun leader Shan-yu.
The club chose the musical because it was a favourite of many of the students and their parents growing up.
In the countdown to the curtains going up, they have performed a selection of the show's toe-tapping songs at the Dubbo Farmers Markets.
Two shows only will be performed at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre at 2pm and 5pm.
At 75 minutes in duration, the show is family-friendly and suitable for all ages.
Tickets are $25 and available at the theatre box office and online.
