A p-plate driver from Dubbo caught driving while he was drunk on Saturday morning is one of 25 people in the western region who was charged with the offence during a blitz targeting drivers behaving badly.

The 19-year-old man was stopped for a random breath test at 1.07am on Cobborah Road and police allege the test returned a reading of 0.170.
In addition to the high-range drink driving charge, the man was also charged with not displaying p-plates and he will appear in court on September 3.
As part of the three-day Operation Chrome initiative, a 32-year-old p-plate driver from Coonamble was charged after police allegedly caught him with $7000 worth of cannabis in his car near Dunedoo .
He will appear in court on September 20.
"The evidence continues to appear that people are still not heeding road safety messages," NSW Assistant Police Commissioner Geoff McKechnie said.
Bail denied
Items used to break into houses and a crystal substance believed to be the drug ice were found inside a Braun Avenue home on Saturday.
Police said the discovery came after they noticed a 34-year-old Dubbo man walking on Lunar Avenue at about 9.30am Saturday.
He was wanted in relation to traffic and theft offences, and when police tried to speak with him he ran into several yards.
Police said he got away from them and was then arrested after a short struggle at a Braun Avenue address where the housebreaking equipment and crystal substance were found.
The man was charged with a string of offences including breaching bail, escaping police custody and stealing and recklessly driving a car.
He was denied bail when he appeared in Dubbo Local Court on Monday and his case returns to court on September 25.
Man caught
A 51-year-old Dubbo man seen acting suspiciously near an unattended car was searched by police and allegedly found with a screwdriver, torch and wallet.
Police spotted him when they were patrolling on Jubilee Street on Saturday night because of a spike in property crime in South Dubbo.
The man was charged with multiple offences including possessing items to break into homes, possessing a prohibited drug and intending to commit an indictable offence he had previously been convicted of.
He was denied bail when he appeared in Dubbo Local Court on Monday and his case returns to court on September 25.
