The Dubbo Stampede will be held this weekend at Taronga Western Plains Zoo.
Committee president Matt O'Dea said he was looking forward to seeing what everyone was dressed as and encouraged participants to start thinking of their costumes now.
"We prides ourselves on being a running festival for everyone, and again we're hoping to see animals, superheroes and alike running, walking and wheeling on Sunday, August 25," Mr O'Dea said.
"The Dubbo Stampede #dresswiththeherd2019 competition is a great way of creating a fun and festive atmosphere."
