Having previously been away on holiday at the snow, Lundholm was back home just in time to see his mare Dusky Damsel score a commanding win in the Commercial Hotel Class 2 Handicap (1410m).
In the last race of the day there was never any real doubt about the result, as Andrew Banks got Dusky Damsel ($6) to the front early on and that was where he stayed.
"This one goes to the team," Lundholm laughed when speaking to Sky Thoroughbred Central after the win.
"I've just rocked in from the snow and got to the course and we've got a winner."
While keen to joke about the result, Lundholm also had a huge amount of praise for the work done by his team and also the development of Dusky Damsel.
After failing to place in the first five starts of her career the four-year-old now has two wins and a third from her past three starts.
Friday was her most impressive win as Banks guided her to a convincing two-and-a-half length victory from Supreme Attraction ($2.60 favourite) and Shebrings Luck ($8).
"She's ticking over really well and we've always had an opinion of her," the trainer said.
"She's putting it together but she was a little naughty at the gates so we'll have to work on that but she's a filly going forward and we're having a lot of fun."
