But rather than wallow in it, Roos' director of rugby Beau Robinson feels the club's second grade and colts sides will be better for it heading into Saturday's preliminary finals at Orange.
The Roos were edged out both major semi-finals last weekend but after finishing second in both the respective grades, get a second bite at the apple at Endeavour Oval.
The Roos colts take on the Narromine Gorillas while the club's second grade side meets Orange Emus, with places in grand finals against Bathurst Bulldogs on the line.
"We want both in," Robinson said ahead of the sudden death matches.
"It's the plan, plain and simple.
"We want as many sides in grand finals as possible."
The Roos colts went agonisingly close to the grand finals last weekend, getting beaten by Bulldogs in extra-time of their enthralling major semi clash.

The youngsters now meet Narromine in the preliminary final, having beaten the Gorillas in their two prior meetings this season.
""The colts were unlucky not to win last weekend," Findlay said.
"It was an unreal game. They were up with two or three minutes to go but there was just some ill-discipline. But they'll take a bit of confidence out of it and we're excited.
"But Narromine will be bloody tough and it will be close with it being local rivals."
Robinson went on to say he feels the colts competition has been the closest in this season's Blowes Clothing Cup.
Bulldogs went through unbeaten but only nine points separated the second-placed Roos and Orange City in fifth.
"The boys won their last two games but if they hadn't they could have missed out on finals completely," Robinson said.
The Roos' second grade outfit was beaten 40-24 by Bulldogs in its major semi last weekend, leaving co-coach Mal Donald to say it was time to "forget this one and refocus".
Taking on Emus on their home turf will also be no simple task, but the Roos side has shown real development in the second half of the campaign and head into the weekend after a positive week.
The side downed Emus in their last meeting in what was part of a strong finish to the regular season.
The Roos went into the finals having won eight of their past nine games, but things didn't quite click at a cold Anne Ashwood Park last weekend.
"It just wasn't as cohesive as it could have been," Robinson said of last weekend.
"But there's 23 blokes and we had to leave a couple out and it's good to see that competition."
The colts side is first up at Endeavour Oval on Saturday at 12.30pm before the second grade plays its preliminary final at 1.45pm.
