At Holy Spirit Dubbo on Tuesday he applauded staff as they were presented with five,10 and 15-year long- service certificates.
Holy Spirit Dubbo volunteers, including therapy dog Indie, were also acknowledged at a celebration of Catholic Healthcare's 25th anniversary.

Mr Maher said the not-for-profit and independent organisation valued the 1200 volunteers working in its aged care homes.
"That's so special when all of us as a community gather around such important people," he said.
Holy Spirit Dubbo residents joined staff and volunteers for the celebration.
"Our residents and our clients are the most important thing," Mr Maher said.
The celebration included a liturgy involving children from St Mary's Primary School, the cutting of a cake, music and the distribution of a commemorative book.
Catholic Healthcare is set to "double" in size across the next decade to meet growing demand for aged care.
