Dubbo's Darrin Edwards and Andrew Wykes will drive head first into mystery this week.
The duo are taking part in the Mystery Box Car Rally. It will leave from Byron Bay on Wednesday, but those taking part have no idea where they will be going.
The event raises money for Cancer Council. Team DubVegas Duo has already reached $6200.
"Every second person has a story about how they've been touch by cancer. At Essential Energy we've had three people affected by cancer in the last 12 months," Mr Edwards said.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
Essential Energy employees have contributed to about half of the Team DubVegas Duo total.
"As soon as you say what you're raising money for they say 'yep, no worries'," Mr Edwards said.
It's the third time Mr Edwards has joined the mystery rally but the first time he's partnering with Mr Wykes, his Essential Energy colleague.
As well as being a skilled talker, Mr Wykes will bring some needed mechanical skills to the team.
The event is not only for a great cause. It's also a way to meet new people.
"I love getting on the road. You see some pretty great parts of the country," Mr Edwards said.
"You meet a lot of people and they've all got a story to tell. You sit with different people at dinner every night. No one is sour, they're all positive."
The Mystery Box Car Rally will start on Wednesday, August 21.
