The six-year-old is trying to read 60 books during August for the MS Readathon.

Rori has already raised about $150. It's three times her initial fundraising goal.

The money raised through the MS Readathon will help children with multiple sclerosis attended special MS family camps. The camps provide quality time for families while giving them the opportunity to learn more about MS.

This is the first time Rori has taken part in the readathon.

"I'm doing it for MS but also because I like reading," she said.

Rori is trying to read about two books a day. So far, her favourite is Andy Lee's Do Not Open This Book Again, especially the writing that goes upside down. She also loved the books about fictional puppy Spot, written by Eric Hill.

Thankfully, Rori's goal is a little easier thanks to the "heaps and heaps" of books she said she had at home. The birthday and Christmas presents were all getting a turn for the readathon.

The Readathon includes students from Dubbo West Public School, Dubbo College Delroy Campus, Dubbo North Public School, Dubbo Public School, Dubbo South Public School, Dubbo Christian School and the Dubbo School of Distance Education.
