Only two of Saturday's four games went ahead in what was cold and rainy conditions, with Narromine knocking over St Comebacks 41-22 before the Macquarie Hornets edged past Nyngan 18-15.
The two wins ensure the Hawks and Hornets keep alive their hopes of making the finals.
With just two rounds remaining the Hawks sit in the all-important fourth spot, but are just one point ahead of the Hornets.
Both sides could finish as high as third, with only Fusion Heat and Fusion Fire having top four spots secured as of now.
The Hawks have the far easier run home, taking on St Diamonds and the Nyngan Cougars in the final two rounds while the Hornets meet ladder-leaders Fusion Heat and third-placed Inspire Rebels.
