The former Queensland Rugby League state of origin captain and role model for many young aspiring football players said he "enjoyed" the experience.
Mr Smith took to Twitter to post about the his meeting with the boys, writing that he "enjoyed meeting the fellas from Dubbo College South Campus at the captain's run today [Friday, August 10]" and that he "couldn't wait for Saturday", where he would be interacting with fans from Dubbo.
The Storm skipper has the most premiership goals in history, most wins, most games as captain and most points by a forward.
He is also the NRL games record holder.
In 2017, Smith capped off his record-breaking season with his second Dally M Player of the Year award, seventh Storm Player of the Year award and another premiership ring.
