The students and teachers came to school on Thursday dressed up as fictional characters from an array of popular books. The students paraded around in their costumes with their teacher and classmates, showing off their creative looks in front of an enormous crowd of family members and special guests.
Three of the best-dressed students from each grade, who were chosen through teachers judging, received a prize.
The prizes were books, with first-place getting the first choice out of three for each class, followed by the runner up who got to pick between two, and then a third.
The books are provided to schools celebrating Book Week by the event initiatives, The Children's Book Council of Australia [CBCA]. A popular theme for this year's Book Week was characters from the famous Harry Potter Novels such as Harry, Hermione and Professor Albus Dumbledore, and superheroes such as Harley Quinn and the Avengers.
