If you asked the smooth-voiced 27-year-old what music meant to him, he would tell you "it's the best thing in the world."
"It connects all people no matter what the occasion and I'm so glad to be able to provide that for the audience," he said.
"Growing up, I always enjoyed singing with my twin brother while helping dad in the family fruit and veggie business.
"This definitely helped pass the long hours of picking up potatoes and cutting cabbages.
"My interest in singing developed into more of a hobby after mum bought me my first guitar around the age of 13.
"Since then, I became inspired to further my knowledge and passion of music at the Australian Institute of Music in Sydney, receiving a Bachelor Degree in Contemporary Performance".
Sam said he used to do a lot of busking in Sydney when he lived there, which lead him to experience one of his fondest moments.
"During one of my sets, a man approached me and asked if I could sing a love song. I thought the request was quite odd at the time seeing as though I was halfway through my "dance" setlist," he said.
I chose to honour his request , he proposed to his girlfriend moments later

The young talent said he really enjoys playing across all genres of music, but has a passion for soul and R&B music.
"I strive to be as versatile as possible when I'm performing and try appeal to all crowds. I also love belting out some 80s classic.
"I love contributing to the atmosphere of the venue and the fact that I have developed so many friendships and supporters who cheer for me week in and week out makes it all worthwhile. My first big performance in front of a large crowd was for an assessment at university.
"Throughout the semester, we were placed into a band and had to develop a 60-minute setlist to perform to the public at one of the very busy pubs in Leichhardt.
"I found it very nerve-racking as not only did I have to perform to a large crowd for the very first time in my career, there was also a panel of four headteachers hidden away in the corner monitoring my every movement," he said. Sam said he writes a few of his own songs every now and again when he "feels inspired". "However, I think I have the longest list of "unfinished" songs which is why I don't often perform them.
Sam said he'd had many influences over the years which has benefited him.
"I was able to derive a certain essence from each of these artists and incorporate them into my performance," he said.
