The Inspire Rebels have kept their hold on the number three spot on the competition ladder following a narrow win over the Narromine Hawks.

The win, a close but welcome one, will put the Rebels ahead of their closest rivals on the ladder and help keep them afloat of the tightly contested melee for ladder spots happening below as the Fusion Fire and Fusion Heat maintain their stranglehold on the very top of the ladder.
Rebels' captain Sharon Andrews said the narrow win was a good boost for a side with many players still finding their competition form.
"Everybody's feeling really good, we've got quite a few younger kids in this side, so we're really happy with how we progressed on the weekend," Andrews said.
"Narromine were a little bit depleted, but they still had quite a good showing."
There was only seven points between the two teams when the Rebels secured the win, with the Rebels taking 47 points to the Hawks 40, but will give the Rebels a three point buffer between them and the Hawks heading into the next round.
"It definitely was pretty heavily contested, we were only a point away from each other on the ladder, the next grouping there is being contested pretty fiercely."
"We're pretty happy with where we are on the ladder right now, there's still quite a few teams that could get into the mix," Andrews said.
"Macquarie are probably the other team that will contest quite heavily and we'll definitely play them again, it still could go either way in those top spots."
The team's recent form has been bolstered by strong performances by their youngest members, with Andrews singling out shooter Zaciah Riley and centre Jordi Petty for their mature performances against more experienced opponents.
"Zaciah Riley, she's our goal attack and she shot really well, and she's quite young, Jordi Petty she played really well for us in the centre, and they're both quiet young, for them to come up into A grade and perform at that level against quite a few older heads is really impressive."
"Having that youth in our side is quite inspiring, we're really proud of them for stepping up and playing in that A grade competition, because there is such a competitive older contingency there," Andrews said.
"We're excited for the next couple of weeks, and we're looking forward to seeing how thing turn out on the ladder."
