The Rhinos salvaged some pride late on during the club's sponsor's day at Apex Oval on Saturday and ran in a number of tries but it wasn't enough as the Wombats continued their march to the finals with a commanding 59-22 victory.
Enjoying a strong run of form of heading to Dubbo with the knowledge they'd already won here in 2019, the Wombats were in a confident but wary mood ahead of the game.
That confidence showed on the park as they blew the Rhinos out of the water, with a home minor semi-final after next weekend's last round in the bag.
The Wombats had a bonus point wrapped up within the opening half hour and from there the procession continued.

Thomas Dudek scored a double in the victory, while six other Wombats also crossed.
"We weren't sure what to expect going into the game because teams are always tough at home, but it was a good game, we did start to get scrappy towards the end though," Mudgee captain Tom Dunstan said.
"It's always good to keep the momentum up coming into the finals."
The Rhinos now head to Narromine in the final round for a clash with Narromine, the defending premiers and ladder-leaders who have lost just once this season.
However, that match will be about much more than matters on the field as it is the Rhinos' now-annual charity day.
The club is getting behinf a local charity or organisation each season and this year the Rhinos will be raising funds and awareness for mental health.
Special one-off jerseys will be worn for the match and they will then be auctioned off after, with funds raised going towards the Beat The Breakdown and Tradies In Sight organisations.
Beat The Breakdown is something the Gorillas have been heavily involved with for a number of years and they hold their own charity day each year as well.
