She was excellent in the first Test against Japan but in Friday night's second Panuara-born Wallaroos skipper Grace Hamilton went a completely new level, producing an astonishing performance to lead Australia to a seven-try demolition and a historic clean-sweep of the Cherry Blossoms.

Picking up her second player-of-the-match gong in as many games as captain, Hamilton scored her side's first try and two more at the end of the game, ferociously leading the charge with her work-rate too by clocking more than 200 running metres.
Her hat-trick and ridiculous performance with ball in hand, combined with Lori Cramer's 16-point individual haul, inspired Australia's 46-3 victory, which came on North Sydney Oval's hallowed turf in front of more than 3,000 vocal supporters.

"I was lucky, just in the right place at the right time," Hamilton said afterward, deflecting any praise toward her teammates,
"It's a complete team effort, I'm just getting the ball off one of the other girls who'd done the hard work.
"That was so special, I walked around (the ground after full-time) and knew everyone (in the crowd) every two metres. My family, everyone ... there's about 50 of them that came out from the central west and I'm so happy they were here."

Hamilton's first and a Mahalia Murphy double that bookended a try from Cramer, who also kicked two conversions and a penalty goal in the opening half, pushed Australia's lead to 27-3 at the half-time break.
Wallaroos coach Dwayne Nestor was stoked with that opening period too, saying his side had done exactly what they pledged to prior to kick-off.
"In the change room, before the girls came out, we said, 'let's make a statement' and I think they did," he said.
"They made a really good statement in that first half, we probably fell asleep a little bit in that second half but then [we] finished [it] off."
Liz Patu was huge from the bench in the opening stages of the second half although the Wallaroos didn't add to their tally until late in the encounter, although Samantha Treherne was disallowed in the 51st minute and Cramer spent 10 in the sin bin too.
It wasn't until the back end of the game the Wallaroos truly wrestled back the upper hand, with Hamilton crossing twice in five minutes before Millie Boyle capped off the 43-point win with her 74th minute five-pointer.

The victory backed up the Wallaroos' 34-5 win in Newcastle the week prior and although both scorelines were lopsided, Nestor and Hamilton agreed the two-Test series is the best preparation their side could have asked for leading into a huge challenge against New Zealand next month.
"That was great preparation for us, really good preparation," Nestor said.
"Not even just for preparation, it was a great contest, we're so lucky that Japan came out here and I'm so thankful they have," Hamilton added.
"They're all wonderful girls and they're a good team, they're building toward the World Cup too and that's what we want to do too. We have a lot of new girls but they really stood up, I'm so thankful they get to be part of this team.
"We have some time off now and we go back to our normal jobs but that's completely fine, we're still training, we're still working hard and we've created a really good culture now within this team and I can't wait to see what we can [do against the Black Ferns]."
Australia plays New Zealand at Perth's Optus Stadium on August 10 before travelling to Eden Park the week after.
