Easy Sloy Boy ($2.20 favourite) was the only runner for the Londonderry trainer at the meeting but he made the trip worthwhile with a one length victory in the Ladbrokes Info Hub Stakes (520 metres).
It had been 10 weeks since Easy Sloy Boy had taken to the track and the rest had clearly been beneficial for the Banjo Boy x Liberty Moon runner.
Sultana's big boy helped his cause with a solid start but still gave up ground to Set Square ($8.50).
Easy Sloy Boy couldn't get around the leader across the first turn, stuck on the outside, while Beats Maneuva and Can't Be Done ($3.40) arrived on the scene to make it a four-dog pack out in front.
Midway down the back straight Easy Sloy Boy broke clear of the group.
Can't Be Done charged down the inside to give chase to the new leader.
The leading margin of two lengths was slowly eaten into but Easy Sloy Boy wasn't going to be caught.
"He hurt himself a little bit so we gave him some time off," Sultana said.
"He usually takes a few runs to come around but what helped today was that he probably got to the front earlier than he normally does.
"He hasn't got enough pace to be racing over the 400m so this is ideal for him."
The winning time was 30.44 seconds.
Set Square held on for third place.
