A 36-year-old man was allegedly stabbed while he was leaving a vehicle on Columbia Drive in Dubbo.
The stabbing took place between 11pm Saturday and 2am Sunday, police said.

The attacker ran from the scene and a witness helped the injured man who was taken to Dubbo Hospital for treatment.
Orana Mid-Western Police District officers established a crime scene and investigations into the incident continue.
The man is in a stable condition and has been released from hospital, a police spokeswoman confirmed.
