Halfback Yeo set up his side's first try when he put Alex Ronayne into space with a lovely short ball, but it was Bonham who kept the Fishies ticking for much of the contest.
His perfect kick into the in-goal late in the first half forced a Forbes dropout and from the ensuing set a shift to the left saw Corey Cox muscle his way across.
That try ensured CYMS went into the half-time lead in front, and they never gave up that advantage in the second half before winning 20-16.

Bonham's kicking was strong throughout, he also landed a 40/20 early in the second stanza, while his running game came to the fore late on against the tiring Magpies side.
"He's a great player and he's starting to get more and more confident as the season goes on," Yeo said of his halves partner.
"He's talking more and being loud, he's unreal to play with."
The starring role in the win over Forbes on Sunday followed an equally strong performance when the sides met earlier in the year.
Bonham nailed a late field goal in that one as the Fishies won 29-22.
Yeo proved a more-than-handy partner for Bonham again on Sunday, once more proving himself in the number seven jersey after missing out to Harry Kempston, who's now sidelined through injury, early in the season.
CYMS will enjoy next weekend's general bye as it deals with an ever-growing injury list.
Yeo, Jyie Chapman, Jayden Merritt, and Cameron Dennis all battled knocks at different times during Sunday's win while winger Nick Karydis failed to finish the match.
CYMS takes on the Nyngan Tigers at Apex Oval after the bye.
